Why is there a cancellation guarantee? 

Most cancellation insurance policies do not cover the consequences of the pandemic.

Many take out a cancellation insurance that does NOT cover the consequences of the pandemic.

This leaves many travellers in the cold.

The cancellation guarantee is something www.Sportstages.com has created in order to respond to the problems of the Covid pandemic and protect our travellers.

What is the cost of a cancellation guarantee? 

The cost of a cancellation guarantee for a SPORTS TRIP or STAGE is fixed at 5% of the total cost of the order.

When can I take out a cancellation guarantee? 

A cancellation guarantee can only be taken out when ordering the SPORT or STAGE.

When can I make use of the cancellation guarantee? 

• You can use the cancellation guarantee: 
• Because of vaccination that takes place within the travel dates (*);
• Because of infection with the Covid-19 virus (*);
• Due to infection by the Covid-19 virus of one of the co-travellers (*)
• Due to travel restrictions imposed by the authorities of our country. (**)
• Due to travel restrictions imposed by the authorities of the transit country. (**)
• Due to travel restrictions imposed by the authorities of the country of destination. (**)
• Due to travel restrictions imposed by the authorities of the local region of destination. (**)

* A doctor's certificate is required.

** In the event of official restrictions, the website of https://diplomatie.belgium.be/nl where a ban is imposed for the country or region of destination, this cancellation guarantee also applies. No doctor's certificate is then required.

Until what date can I exchange?

You can exchange your SPORT HOLIDAYS as soon as you realise that there might be problems with the actual implementation of the SPORT TRAVEL or STAGE. Discuss this with the SPORTSTAGES.com staff.

As soon as you have doubts whether the SPORTREIS or STAGE can still take place, you can already inform us.

You can postpone the final decision until maximum 14 days(***) before the departure date.

Please note that official notifications made less than 14 days (****) before the departure date will be considered invalid.

or wait until 28 days before departure to exchange your holiday for another date and/or another destination.

*** The 14-day limit is determined by www.Sportstages.com in consultation with the hotel used.

The number of days can therefore depend on the after-sales conditions of the hotel used.

If there is a deviation from the 14-day limit, the customer must be informed of this in advance.

**** In this case we speak of a NO SHOW in case of cancellations within the 14-day period(***).

This means a total loss and 100% costs.

Up to which new departure date can I exchange? 

You may exchange your SPORT TRIP or STAGE for another SPORT TRIP or STAGE at a later date or in a next season available at the time of exchange.

Which holidays can I exchange? 

Any SPORT or STAGE from the SPORTSTAGES.com range which is available at the time of exchange.

Is this a cancellation insurance? 

This is NOT a cancellation insurance.

There is no mention of a cancellation insurance, but there is a cancellation guarantee.

This cancellation guarantee gives you the guarantee that the SPORT TRAVEL or STAGE can/may be rebooked, free of charge, if problems arise as a result of the pandemic.

Of course, everyone is free to look for an insurance that covers the consequences of the pandemic in combination with the other modalities of a cancellation insurance with his broker and pay the required premium.
